I've started taking some of my images and working with them using my software [Aperture, Color Efex Pro, Photoshop Elements] and attempting to make them more 'painterly'.  I used to paint in oils and have great admiration for those who do, there's no substitute.  But there are times I much prefer something less 'perfect' and want to create something more abstract-seeming.  This is one of these and I'll be putting up a few more over time:
